Trailblazer Problem
#1
1997 Trailblazer 250
carb is now jetted at 150-was at 140 when all these problem started
Has a pipe and has been clutched and has been running fine until now
My ????
1 Could the lack of compression cause the no fuel to the cylinder or could it possibly be
a leaking seal in the lower end
2 Would the lack of compression cause it to not start at all
3 Is there something I am missing
This problem started out a while ago and wont seem to go away
The eng seemed to be losing power and was becoming hard to start
It started bogging very badly and would only run with snorkel off air box
So we played around with the carb and spark plug which seemed to help but still boging on low end
We took it out again ang it seemed to get worse as the day went on,It seemed as though the hotter it got outside the worse it ran.
So we brought it home and did a compression test and could only get 75 psi so we sent the cyl out and had it bored and new piston 40 over.
So we put it back together and rode it around the house and it seemed to be running good.
So we took it out again (outside temp got to 98)several times it seemed to bog down almost to a stop and was very hard to keep running and than was hard to start the rest of the day.
The next day it started easier when cold and seemed to run better, once the eng got hot it will not restart. The spark plug is dry no matter what you do -choke or not
We have torn the top end off 5 times to check different things and have tested compression many times and the best we got is 75 psi.
Ive tried turning the rings over -no fix
There was a lot of liquid in the crankcase we drained that - no fix
Ive got the cyl and head and piston ready to go in to be checked out again
Any help would be appreciated
