This isnt' on my quad, but rather on an old tractor I was building into a puller. The bolts were really old, and I should have got new ones, but I snapped 2 today, One to hold the pipe on, and the other is a head bolt, I will probably drill them out, but any other ways you guys have tried?

Is there a reason you are looking for an alternative way to get them out? Such as, tight access space, etc? If not, go with the tried and true method of drill / extractor, however do yourself a favor by:

1. Make sure you have a good center punch and pop your start location dead center of the bolt (comsumption of a fine malted beverage first helps calm your aim)

2. Buy the correct size bolt extractor for the size bolt / stud you're working - no exceptions.

3. Buy a brand new drill bit sized exactly for the extractor you need.

4. Comsume another fine malted beverage and drill the hole for the extractor - take your time and maybe use a little cutting oil - make sure you stay parallel with the hole bore.

5. Set the extractor, get yourself some leverage and lean on that bad boy - don't *****-foot around, grab hold and holler if it helps (usually does).

6. Consume a final malted beverage and survey your handy-work.

Don't screw with lady luck and try to do two bolts in one day - trust me on this. Also, do this alone... never invite friends to watch, you're just asking for busted knuckles and an empty fridge.

Good luck.

Well, on the head bolts, I have minimal clearance, because it fires horzontaly. I am gonna see if my drill will fit tomorrow, if not, I have to hit the drawing board again.
