What is the top speed of a 1996 425 magnum 2x4?
What are some good mods?
With a pipe and clutch kit could it beat a sportsman 500HO in a drag?

a stock magnum 425 and a stock sportsman400 run the same... i topped out my sp400 at 58mph on a gps. with the modifications you get, you will definately feel in increase in speed, but i dont think youll be able to beat a sp500 in a drag. My sp500 beats the sp400 by about 9 to 11 lenghts, and my sp700 beats the sp500 by about 10 lenghts.

I dont know how fast my 425 is by MPH but it will hold its own with my 400 2 stroke and with the 500s.I have it set up with a SupertrappIDS2 pipe,K&N filter, white polaris primary spring, blue Aaen secondary spring,a 145 main jet in the carb. When you go to modifing thing it breaks other things so be forwarned when you up the power you stand a better chance of breaking parts.

FTWFTH,
How do you like your 96 magnum 425 4X4? How do you like the Chain drive to the front diff? I am looking at the exact machine but wanted someones opinion on how good these are and how well the 4X4 system holds up.
