The Polaris dealer in Toledo Iowa (USS REPAIR) does not charge tax on any new machine if your a farmer, what kind of $hit is that? I wish I didnt have to pay tax..

Farmers are not taxed as long as they can justify it is used for farm work. Personal stuff is taxed.

It pays to shop around. I bought two scrambler 500 4x4's last spring. I drove out of state to buy them and did not have to pay any sales tax. I saved about $700 in sales tax on the two macines together. I also got a better deal and it cost me $50 in gas to go get them.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Her ein the great state of maine, when you go and register your quad they ask for the sales tax slip and if you do not have it you get nailed with it anyway

Default Polaris Dealer In Iowa

In Illinois all farm equipment and the parts to repair them are tax exempt as well the last time I looked .
