primary clutch flex

Yes, and they will all do it, and more so under throttle when in gear. The drawback is that you lose belt deflection and alignment, which robs power and performance. Dennis Shotwell sells a torque strap to help the problem ddjshotwell@qwest.net They cost about $45. another thing is to put the harder race mounts in it. That will keep everything correct and the power where it should be, to the trans.Bubba

Most use it for the race modded stuff since thay usually engage at a high rpm and put alot of initial torque on the motor. It definitely would be a benefit for the 4x4's and anyone putting their machines under a load. It basically mounts to the front of the recoil housing and has a snubber to rest slightly against the frame. It helps control motor vibration too. E-mail Dennis at that address and tell him to e-mail you his flyer. It is a single page of a few things mostly for the race bikes, but has the torque strap on it and the contact info. I dont see any cons on any setup for the strap. Hope this helps,Bubba
