Polaris Racers
#1
I have heard that in an all out drag race, the Banshee and Fourtrax will outrun a Scrambler 400 2wd, 4x4 and 5004x4, then I look in Dirt Wheels, and see that they have drag races and Polaris' are smokin everything in a 1/8 mile drag race, what's the deal with these atv magazines?? like for instance, they say that the sportsman will only haul 1200 lbs... yeah right, I hook that much up to it on a regular basis.. Are they AFRAID of saying that Polaris is better???

I kinda agree with you. Scramblers are great atvs for dragging because they are super fast off the line. Its just to bad that there are only a few companies out there that make aftermarket parts for them. Also, on a warning sticker on my polaris 400 it says can haul 1200 pounds. So when the mags say they can haul 1200 they are just saying what Polaris has told them or they have read. We know that in reality they can haul lots lots more than that.I haul 1500 quite easy with mine and its all stock!!. They just say they to be safe. Talk to you later, Quadman

I have seen repeatedly, a 1996 scrambler 4x4 beat a 1999 400ex both being stock in a drag race on semi loose dirt. It takes quite a while for the 400ex to catch up. Only because of the gearing can the 400ex catch the scrambler. And remember the polaris wasn't even intended to be in the same so-called performance class as a 400ex. This just goes to show that polaris does make a all-around great machine.

If the magizines are owned by Honda. Then why are all of the full page ads either Polaris or Yamaha. Maybe they are giving money to the Honda fund, so that they can keep on making the best atvs on earth. Ok,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sure........
