I was doing a light bulb check on my 2000sp 500 and noticed that the high temp light did not work. I then took apart the pod and found out that one of the wires was not plugged into the light. Imagine that. I could have cooked the engine and not even known it. An easy check can be done by locating the connector near the temp switch on the left side of the engine and pulling it apart and ground the end coming from the light. The light will light with the key switch in the on position. A good safety precaution. It would be nice if the light would come on when you turn the key on to check the bulb and then go out when it starts. This all started when i noticed my AWD light bulb was burned out which is soldered in. I wonder if i can buy just the bulb?
