ok i hear of all you getting like 50-60-75 miles to a tank and i have had 3 magnum's all 500's and they get about 40 miles if in high range the whole time (not burning reserve) and about 22 miles if i am mostly in low range (with out reserve being burnt) i know the tank is 3.7gal is that with or without reserve well when i figure i get about 10 miles per gallon and i hear of all of you getting like 25mpg and yes they are broken in............whats the deal ???????

 

so what does everyone else get for mpg? why is mine so low???????

 

My 2001 Ho has 3000 miles on it (about 350 hours) and has always been serviced @ the dealer. Me and my gear are about 400 pounds and I have gone 85 miles without using reserve? I know I get 20 - 26 mpg in high range all the time?

As for how it runs .... I can tell you if I am on a surface with good traction and put it in low I would flip the Sportsman over if I stabbed the gas and did not back off.

I guess I have a good one. But I can tell you it started to run it's best after 2000 miles and it's second full service.
