Can't aswer you question but that would be pretty cool as long as they can keep th weight down. I bet a 700 scrambler, if it wieghed 600lbs, could at the least run neck and neck with the prarie or the grizz possibly beating them maybe. And be just as sporty as the prarie.

what? i think a better comparison would be a stock 700 scrambler hanging with a stock banshee. of course it would smoke those big bore utility quads

With the Kaw 700 comming out it would seem lik only a matter of time. We know that Polaris detuned the 700 a bunch, the clutch is even f--ked up to let it hook up smoother. So the 600 or the 700 would be an awsome addition but it would need to at least be the same 500lb as the KAW or less.

The only other thing I see is the KAW was designed as a woods racer and the MCpherson struts are really not up to the task, I would like to see Polaris put the 700 twin in the pred frame!

I think Polaris is trying to consolidate their line of ATV's so they can reduce their prices to try and capture more of the ATV market. I read that in one of the magazines. Thats how they reduced their prices this year.

Preadtor 400 (2 stroke) I would by it in a heart beat hell I would even take it with the auto.
700 scrambler not detuned or even move it up to the 800 cc and I may even buy one of those.

I agree with Sporty4002x4 on polaris building a 2-stoke 400 predator. Just like the trailblazer and scrammy share a frame why can't we drop in a 250 2-stoke as well? All the 250 engine really needs is a set of reeds to bring in up to date.

Polari smight as well use the 2-strokes before they are eliminated by the emmisions controllers in 2006 or 2010. (whatever the year is now)

The local polaris mechanic has a sp700 with head mods, clutch mods, and some other mods that he won't willingly give out to just anybody. At the ATV drags/Pulls he was easily beat'in banshee's, raptors and DS'. so if they made a scrambler with even a more aggressive clutch set up i think it would be a big plus, but just make it a shaft drive!!!!!! I HATE CHAINS IN THE MUD!!!!

Well, it would be an interesting exercise in design. But how many of you would want to be stuck with the same old poor handling chasis? More than likely this is what they'll do. Slap a 700 motor in a slightly modified Scrambler chasis and you still have a heavy machine.

On the other side, as they have only one Scrambler model (500 4x4) left, they do need to do something to keep the sales up.
