Default 38mm for the 700????

I have a buddy taking his carbs off his sled to go to injection. He's offering me his 38mm carbs for cheap. Does anyone know how they would do on my 700???
Any input would be great.

Default 38mm for the 700????

The 38 mm snowmobile carb is made for a 2 stroke engine and will not work properly on a 4 stroke engine. The 700 uses a constant velociety carb. It uses a diaphram and engine vacum to control the lift on the needle. If you use a direct lift type carubrator the calibration will not be right. I would stick with a constant velocity type carb for any 4 stroke application.
Hope this helps.
