I agree with Lurch. I just don't understand what the big deal is about mine out pulled yours or mine outmudded yours. I just wish I had every weekend off to ride. Doesn't the King Quad have about ten different gears and a really low first?

i think the topic was just a joke to start with.
it's common knowledge that there is NO WAY a 3 wheel drive Rubicon could EVER out-pull the magnificent, KING of the 4X4, Sportsman![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

A rubicon won't budge a 400 sportsman. A 500 sportsman will pull the heck out of a rubicon becuase not only does its low gear have more power than the rubicon, but the rubicon is 3wd and 100 pounds less and the stock tires are horrible compared to rawhides on a sportsman. Next time Don't do drugs before you post something that everyone knows better than beleive.

 

Did u have that H.O. in low range and 4 wheel drive?

 

I entered the sled pulls at FWP a few weeks ago. I was in the big bore class meaning 0ver 500ccs. I ride a 700. I placed second with a pull of 187ft. 1st 2nd and 3rd were all SP700s. And, there were many 650s and 660s pulling.

As far as the Rubicon VS the SP500, it was a joke. First place went to the SP500 with a 155ft pull. None of the other 500s were even close. I think 2nd place was around 130ft, and all the rest were withing 15 feet of this mark.

Putting two quads back to back is not a good way to test towing ability.

 

The Rubicon is by far the better bike. The polaris is brand new and the brakes make all kinds of noise already. It was just funny seeing the big tough polaris get pulled all over the place.

 

P.S.
I have never seen a Polaris or pull-your-***, as I like to call them, get over 5,000 miles on them. Polaris is just pure Junk! Belts vs trans. Trans. win every time! The warranty on your belt does a lot of good when it breaks out in the woods!

 

You are just jealous that you do not own a polaris or you are mad that you have been out-done by polaris somewhere in the past, and that fact was just eating you up inside and you have to come on atv forum and make stupid outrages claims. BTW, I have had my sportsman for over 2 years(4500miles) with no problems at all and no sweaky bakes either, I have put this quad through hell and back. Its as strong as a tank. And your claim that the rubicon is a better bike, umm no I test drove all kinds of them and the rubicon is outclassed in everycategory except the unique es. Thats all I can credit it for. I am not crazy about its tranny either. Lets take a look at the specs!
