Just ordered a new sp 700 03, this past week, I am having a 2500# installed. However, I see there is a new 2500# 2.5ci now available.
Cannot seem to determine what the difference is.

 

-Warn 2500 comes with the huge, hand-held remote with the long cord that you plug-in to use it. the list is $579.99

-Warn 2500 2.5ci REPLACES the above. it's less money-$449.99. it comes with a much nicer remote- sealed mini rocker switch monted to the handlebar. i have one on order. i had a Warn 2500 on another ATV and it always had enough power, i just hated the BIG, clumsy remote and long cable. the part # for the 2.5ci is #2874502 (for a Sportsman700)


i suggest you save the $130, get the nicer remote, and go with the 2.5ci.

it seems like a no-brainer to me.

ge4x4: Which quad was the Ramsey mounted on? If the Polaris.......did it get mounted in the same location(that lil cutout above the rad) the Polaris puts there Warn winch at?

I didn't ask where the mount went, but the mount is made for the 700, and there is only one place to mount the winch on the 700.

 

I know you didnt, I was asking that......Im in the market for a winch myself and looking at different pics here n there it appeared to me that frontal winch mounts may vary. I dont know what size Polaris that yello is in ur folder but it looks to me that the winch is mounted lower than where I was told my winch shld go (between the headlights) and that is where I prefer putting it. If the Warn winch w/ the Polaris mount plate is the only one that fits in that location then Ill probably go with that set up....thats why I asked, sorry for the confusion.

 

That's my 02 500 I sold to get my 700. The ramsey winch will mount to the warn mount to, and yes they will mount into your front bumper.

thanks for the info! the Ramsey sounds like a good deal..........However! Yep! i picked-up the Warn 2.5ci today!
the directions look confusing so Tuesday i bring the 700Mossy-Oak to the Dealer to get it installed! LOL

the mini rocker switch mounted to the handlebar will fit my needs better for plowing rather than the key-chain wireless remote of the Ramsey. i'll try the Ramsey on my next ATV.(He,he,he!)[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
