700 top speed?

All-

My 02' SP700 does between 67 and 70. I am surprised to hear of a 17mph difference (50mph). You might as well have a 500HO if you can only do 50.

Keep ridin' the best....

mtpockets..........are you crazy man....two of you doing 70mph on an ATV on gravel road......I might do this myself but definitely not with someone on the back. My luck, I would fall off and my passenger would injure me much less the impact of the ground at that speed..........ride on [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

Hey....lets not disrespect any 500 HO'S...ok............I know there not a "700" but we like our 500's!!!!

Man you have to push that lever on the right all the way up into high gear.Mine will do 70+ even with my fat *** on it.If yours is only doing 50 somethings wrong...

You guys better break out a real radar gun and go testing. The 700's are geared to only go 55 +/-. Also, the speedos on atv's are not reliable especially at a higher speed.

The SP 700 has a reverse limiter as do most other machines. The Kawasaki has an override button, but I'm not certain if the Polaris has a similar feature.

Sorry for the 500 comment. The 500 is an excellent machine. I have ridden 500's extensively, and I love them too. In fact, I almost bought a 500HO instead of my 700.
