My 02' SP700 does between 67 and 70. I am surprised to hear of a 17mph difference (50mph). You might as well have a 500HO if you can only do 50.

Hey....lets not disrespect any 500 HO'S...ok............I know there not a "700" but we like our 500's!!!!

But I would take a 700 if someone wants to donate one to the cause![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

Man you have to push that lever on the right all the way up into high gear.Mine will do 70+ even with my fat *** on it.If yours is only doing 50 somethings wrong...

 

You guys better break out a real radar gun and go testing. The 700's are geared to only go 55 +/-. Also, the speedos on atv's are not reliable especially at a higher speed.

 

The SP 700 has a reverse limiter as do most other machines. The Kawasaki has an override button, but I'm not certain if the Polaris has a similar feature.

Sorry for the 500 comment. The 500 is an excellent machine. I have ridden 500's extensively, and I love them too. In fact, I almost bought a 500HO instead of my 700.
