Need 2-stroke help fast!!!!

Ok, here's the deal, I removed the injector resevoir and drained it of the bad oil(I had put motor oil in it cuz I thought it was gonna blow, and that's all I had). I filled it with the right oil, finally got it started, and it was spittin' and sputterin' like it was w/the bad oil, then, all of a sudden, it starts runnin' good, idling good. It all sounds good, but here's my paranoid concern: When I removed the resevoir, is it possible that a bubble of air or blank spot could be in the line and that's what its running now, and about to blow? I thought about premixing some gas and putting it in, is it ok to use the premix I have for my weed-eater, I know its a rich mix but it shouldn't hurt it, will it? Thanx, Lata.

If you're really concerned about it then run a 50:1 mix in your gas tank and monitor your oil reservoir level on your next few rides. Make sure the level is dropping, then fill her up with regular gas...

Yes, previous advise on premix plus checking level is fine.
I'm surprised the auto oil was bad enough to require drain like that. I'd have empty'd out what I could and added more. I know todays injector oil is thinner then premix oil, but once upon a time 10-30 was considered an acceptable alternative. I suppose in a pinch I'd add it as a premix.
There is a oil pump bleed process defined in the service manual for my 2000 scrambler 400. It may help. It is:
open bleed valve one full turn (that's the top left screw on my unit), let oil drain for 10 seconds. Tighten screw. start engine and lift/rotate real arm to full oil flow for 10-20 seconds. (thats a counter clockwise motion on mine). I'll bet at idle with full oil lift you'll be able to see some smoke coming out the tail....
luck
