Spark Arrestor
#1
I ordered a spark arrestor muffler with my Aaen Top End Pipe and was surprised that it did not have a marking on it that indicates it is a spark arrestor rating. From other catalogs, it looks like the unmarked muffler is actually made by MSA? My stock Polaris muffler had a "USFS" imprint on it.
Did I get the wrong muffler? How does a Forest Ranger note a spark arrestor rating?

I think I would call Aaen and ask about that. I bought an Answer silencer for my wife's wheeler and it was marked with an SA. If you got the wrong one that might help answer some of your worries about being too loud. Bubba

Yes, they look for the USFS SA stamping on it. No got, no legal.
Some will also insert a pencil, stick or what have you into them looking for the spring. That doesn't work with the newer style (based on an inverted cone placed at the inlet of the muffler).
Good luck
