700 speedometer

Default 700 speedometer

Any body feel like there speedometer is off. mine is definetly off icould be fiying and it only shows about 40mph

i guess you should go side by side with another atv or even a car to see if your speedo is working well... but the 700 twin is not a little 110 lbs showgirl... :-) it may look like you're going realy fast when you go at 40mph.

Any reasonably good handheld GPS can verify your ground speed.

I do the same as Floodrunner, I use my GPS to check speed. My 700 is right on as far as the speedo goes where as my 500 that I had the speedo would show 5mph faster then I really was going.

Good idea with GPS i don't have one but I'm sure one of my friends do. Thanks kirby have a good Thanks Giving if idon't here from you

Great idea Flood I'll have to try it I don't happen to have a GPS but I think my friends have them. Happy Thanks Giving if I don'here from you.

Thanks Guy, but i' in NJ it' hard to find a place where you can run an ATV and vehicle togeather to try somthing like that some of the other guy's suggested using a GPS, Happy Thanks Giving if Idon't hear from you.
