It sounds like the engine is running to rich. I would check the choke first. You already said it had a new air filter. If you get any black smoke, it is probably too rich.

 

Sounds like it could be the choke adjustment to me.

 

Well then I will give that a try. I will try to back it in some. I know that the cable aint hung anywhere because I don't even have to front fenders on and I had to disconnect it get the fenders off.

Check the exhaust to be sure its not plugged with mud at the openning.If not take it loose at the header pipe and see if it still does it.I had mud in the outlet a time or two and I had a muffler collapse inside too.

 

If all else fails, I'll trade my 400 4x4 scrambler for it.

 

Sounds like the cam is flat. Pull the valve cover and check the exhaust lobe.

 

Well it aint the Choke or Mud in the Exhaust. I just rode it today in the Snow for a little bit. After warm up it ran for about 20 min Haulling a$$ then all of a sudden it started cutting out again. override switch is working becase I need the 4wd in reverse. I don't think that the Cam is flat because it runs fine for that 20 mins or so.

 

Since it ran good for 20 minutes. Your fuel vent may be pinched. Next time it cuts out, loosen the gas cap and see if it helps.

No I haven't adjusted the Valves yet.
