Default Scrambler 500 Cutting out

I have a 2000 scrambler 500 4X4 that keeps cutting out. When the engine gets warm if you go from an idle to half or full throttle it just bogs out, and starts Backfiring. I have removed the Carb. cleaned it out, replaced the spark plug. everything on this bike is stock. anyone have this problem before?

Thanks

Have you ever replaced the belt? If it gets badly glazed or wears too thin, it will cause the engine to cut out under heavy load. Mine used to do that when I tried to ride a wheelie, went up a hill, or was trying to come out of a mud/water hole. I got a new 700 belt and it runs perfect.
I bet no one is gonna believe a belt will make the engine cut out.....

Yes I have replaced the belt. But I don't think that is what is causing it. Because I can have it in Neutral and rev it up and it is still doing the same thing.

Put in a new air filter. It may look good and still be bad.I had this happen. And It could be your override module gone bad.

I have just installed a new Air Filter. What is the ETC? I don't think that it is the Over Module because I still have to use it when I go in reverse.

You dont have a set of saddlebags or anything covering the intake for the PVT?Be sure it is open and nothing stuck in it.

Crispy......the ETC is the....Electronic Throttle Control. This is what Polaris uses to make sure the throttle does not stick wide open. It is the black box where your thumb lever hooks into. Follow the cable from the black box down the handle bars. Before you get there(all the way down), there is a small rubber boot. Roll this back and it should reveal some nuts that you can adjust. Adjust these both ways and see if this works.

The Air Filter is brand new. I tried the ETC. It is clean as a whistle inside and I can see that the connection are not touching when I give it gas. I even went as far as touching them together to make sure that it is working right. Right now the bike has nothing on it. No Plastic no seat. Just the Gas tank. I went a head and retried the Override switch and that is not it. The funny thang about it is when the motor is cold that baby will scream. Just as soon as the motor gets warm that is when It starts to happen.
Thanks for the information to try. anyone else have a Clue?

Mark
