Default 400 carb

Mike,

With a 200 main jet, and the 40 pilot jet from the 30mm carb i should be ok? I have NO problem what so ever pulling wheelies. I can ride wheelies all day long with the setup that i have now. People that know Trailblazers are amazed what my TB can do. I just want a little mort throttle response and top end. I top out at 63mph. I would like to be around 66-67. Do you know of a company that makes a reed valve for the TB? Also should i turn the oil injection up a little. It just makes sense that if you add more fuel and air that you need to bump up the oil also. I really dont want to cook the head.

HPD makes the reed conversion kit, but be prepared to shell out some serious dollars for it. Not to mention it is race ported and has the head shaved. You are going to have to shell out more $$$ just to keep the engine in race gas (104 octane +).

I never messed with my oil injection on the Trailblazer I own. With injection, the engine only requires a certain amount of oil and after that the rest just fouls plugs. Oddly enough that is the only machine I changed carbs on that DIDN'T require a change in the oil injection. Putting the 38mm TMX (flat slide) on my old Sport required changing the oil setting, which was eventually found to be too rich. So I took it off and started pre mixing. But since the carb you're changing to is still a VM series Mikuni (round slide) you shouldn't have to mess with it.
