Default Polaris Lifetime Belt Warrenty- Mabey

VeryPicky,

I never implied that you were abusing your atv. I was simply saying that most people are being misled thinking that Polaris has a LIFETIME belt warranty When in actuality they dont. I never said anything about your first post except you said ( a lifetime belt means that if it ever goes bad you get it replaced PERIOD) but they do not advertise a lifetime belt warranty. It is a LIMITED LIFETIME belt. In your case you said that the belt was shreded. I would say that thats a manufacture defect. So it should be replaced. But your friend on the other hand had a flat spot. I would question that for abuse. But anything can happen.

YOUR WORDS!!!
The common sense I should have used is when Polaris advertised their belts as having a "LIFETIME WARRANTY", I should have known better. With the issues of the belt now brought to light, I think any prudent person would agree that mabey, just mabey, Polaris should have advertised their belt as having a "LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY".

And they did advertise LIMITED LIFETIME BELT WARRANTY. THIS IS MY POINT. Not knocking you or starting anything. They never false advertised!! And for the foolishness. What was the foolishness? I was responding to your post, saying your wrong about Polaris advertising about the warranty.

The belts are 39.95 + tax and YOUR the one that's missing the point. I have been and mabey still am one of the most loyal polaris owners out there, but their comes a point where I tire of cutting off my nose to spite my face. It also seems that on certain issues or concerns, their is a very small percentage of owners (of any brand) that just can't seem to be able to handle the truth. I would just about bet that if I posted a thread stateing.[ I bought a brand new polaris and it blew up under my A$$ as I was driving it off the showroom floor], their would be some that would reply that I must have abused it and I was bashing polaris because I told someone about it. To those I say: Your skin is way too thin.
I thought I would respond to this and your previous post since no one else has, even though it was probably a big mistake and I can't seem to understand why I keep buying into this foolishness. I will try to be helpfull and constructive in all my future posts, as I feel that is what these forums were meant to be about.
Hey VeryPicky,
I agree with you 100%. Polaris belt warranty is all a sale's scam.

the lifetime belt warranty is for a defect in material or workmanship should the belt break or come apart ... flat spotting or burning the belt into is not the belt manufactures fault or polarises fault either and they are quite leniant with replacements but they are asking for the defective belts to be returned so they can send them back to whoever they got them from so maybee in time there will be a perfect belt that will last forever some dealers are getting charged back belt replacements from polaris and that is why they are getting tougher about the warranty just my opinion
