WOW, I am gone for a couple of weeks and this is what I get to read.
not to burst any bubbles but my buddy and I done the rerouting of the hoses over a year ago this past summer when we first got our 03's because of this problem. We ride in rivers all summer long and we addressed it the first time we rode them. This is certainly not brain surgery or top secret CIA info that you cant share. Okay I am done now, just want you to know that if you thought you were the first one to ever have this problem you are kidding yourself.

O.K. who dug up the old post? Preddy, all you need to do is find the crossmember under your air-tube. There are 4 or 5 holes in it. Find the two larger clear tube extending down from your carb. These are your vent lines. You can guestimate where to cut them off, so they will fit at the proper length inside one of those crossmember holes. For added protection, you can cut them at a slight angle (so they won't vacuum seal to the inside of the crossmember) then just push each one of them into their hole. Easy fix. I didnt cut them but i Rerouted them up higher. And today i went though water about 2 feet deep and it worked Great I love it. Problem solved. Except must those tubes be keep below the carb or does it matter?
