got a new sportman 700 pros and cons????? plez!
got a new 02 sportman 700 the other week...it was a smokin deal! it had 5 miles on it and the other owner got it in june!!!
took it home and notice it was leaking coolant...called up the local dealer and i guess there is a recall on all 700 for water pumps or covers. got it fixed for free and took it out riding.. WOW i love it,hauls *****, slides nice, climbs walls, and its a donut machine!!!
so anybody have anything i else i should need to know??? can i get a slip on or K&N filter maybe big wheel kits etc...

The best mod to make on any Polaris is the clutch. With a white primary spring and lighter weights the clutch will engage at a higher rpm giving you a quicker take-off. Mods to the secondary will let you "downshift", that is, back off on the throttle and get a higher rpm, like downshifting.
Point is, the Polaris CVT is light years ahead of everybody else, with a vast amount of knowledge and aftermarket parts out there to do whatever you want with it, from poke along to full out drag racing.
