Default polaris sport wheelie bar

If anyone has made a wheelie bar for a sport or scrambler could they give me some ideas of what to do and what not to do. Also what type of material is the best to use. Thanks for any information.

Yeah, you want to get down to International Speedway and do some drag racing, huh? I'll send you some pics if you like. I used 1'' square aluminum to build the first set, but ended up going with solid 5/8 aluminum bar drilled and tapped for fittings on the ends. I came off the bottom of the rear shok where it mounts to mount the upper bars, and went to the swingarm bolts to do the lower bars. I used 2 roller blade wheels instead of a big bulky wheel. I used heim joints on the wheel end to keep the suspension. for ultimate traction use a solid bar in place of the rear shock and make the wheelie bars solid and not moveable. My wheeler does low 1.8's in the 60ft with some wheelspin. I like keeping the suspension to absorb some of the takeoff so the belt dont have to do it. Hope this helps, and if you want a pic, just send me a private message with your e-mail address and I'll get it to you.Bubba

That's a problem waiting to happen on a powerful machine. Hooking up all 4 spots to the axle carrier bolts is not a good idea if the machine has a high engagement. That's just asking for something to break. Gotta put 2 bars on a different spot to disperse some of the hit.Bubba
