What a way to spend Christmas Eve, roosting up and shredding the Florence Oregon Dunes on my new Troy Lee Predator.........<GRINS>
I talked to Dale at the Florence Polaris/Cannondale Dealer (located right at the South Jetty road entrance) and he carries dirrect carb mount K&N's and outerwears. Check out my pictures in the Gallery for how it mounts up and the part numbers. I haven't installed mine yet, so I can't speak for the performance gains, but it fits up good, sits nice and high, and seems to be very well protected from water or dirt spray.
K&N #RU 1770
Outerwears #WR125-6T
The more I ride this awesome machine, the bigger my smile gets.

I believe that's the same unit Hot Seat sells. Gonna take it off the race-mod tonight and make sure it fits. Word to the wise, make sure to spend the extra buck and get a water-proof Outerwear. This can really make a big difference when trail blasting.

hey heapster couple of ?s
on your pics stator wire is it white now and how come the tape secondly how does the seat fit with the new filter set up did you have to remove the original air box and on the first pic it shows a rubber hose zip tied to the frame on top whats that all about and i was wondering im thinking of putting a 13 tooth sprocket on with everything else stock is it going to cause a problem because i heard u say something about your rev limiter thanks for your answers..................... keep roostin

I used self-sealing tape to wrap around all the automotive style split wire loom sleeving in order to help seal out any water or sand from entering; I figured it'd help saving the wires from chaffing.
I also used about 20-25 nylon zip ties on all the loose wires and such, the rubber hose is the crank case breather tube.
Another tip: The front brake lines are held to the a-arms with cheesy black plastic clips, and I took those off first thing and used zip ties threaded through 1/4" diameter rubber tubing to hold the brake lines in place. I think its Cascade that makes some really nice billet brake line holders, but need to measure my a-arm tube diameter first.
Whether to run a 13 or 14 tooth depends on your riding area and style. For slow or technical rides, the 13 is nice, but I feel it takes too much off the top end for WFO logging road rips. The 14/37 is perfect for 75% of the riding situations I have. I'm thinking of trying a 14/38, and getting the red anodized rear Polaris sprocket for a little more acceleration, then in the dunes a 13 would work well WITH paddles.
The 13 in the dunes with the knobbies bounced off the rev limiter too easily I feel, but put some paddles on and it may be a whole new matter.
I haven't run paddles yet, but I'm thinking of 8 or 9 paddle haulers.
I'll get some more pictures posted of my other mods.
The machine runs so great with the stock snorkle, I'm tempted to just keep it on, but the K&N clamps on very cleanly and fits fine under the seat after removing the snorkle, then the stock air box can be used for tools or other storage.

I can finally understand what the rave is all about. I rode mine for a couple of weeks and I love it. Other than a lack of reverse, I can't see much wrong with it. So much fun to ride.
I've never heard of those K/N clamp ons. Are there any downsides to having one? Like having to clean it more often? I am very intrigued with having one.

Not only that but you can easily make it a sealed box, so you can add ice on those hot days. ;-)
