need opinions on trailblazer purchase
im thinking of getting a 2001 trailblazer just to mess around on. ill only have to give around 1600. yes i know its very small power, auto trans and pretty much a little yard bike. im just wanting it for a cheap thrill to ride around on--nothing serious. is this a reliable quad or are they problem oriented? i just want something to beat up and not have to work on all the time.. i only plan on keeping it for around 8 months or so. i figure its as good as it gets for $1600. input? thanx, bean

If power isnt a factor (your moto will probably run with it) then go for it. That is definitely a good price! Just do your normal greasing (alot of fittings), and change the trans fluid once a year, and it will do just fine. There is no counterbalancer oil to change on those, so just keep it full of injector oil and go. They are really reliable machines. Sometimes simple is better.Bubba

I have a somewhat highly modded TB that is very reliable and is great on the trails. I have probably put more mods on mine than most people would for a slow heavy 250 but i wanted to see how far i can go. Talonhawk also has a very modded TB with an HPD race mod. He can keep up with slightly modded Scrambler 400's. I can keep up with a stock 400 as of now (depending on the Bubba porting) one day will be faster than the 400. Stock a TB will do about 50-53 mph. I have very strong bottom end pull and top speed is about 65-66mph. comming from riding a Banshee for 8yrs took a big step down but i have way more fun on the trails with the TB because i dont get thrown around nearly as much because of the weight. OH and it climbs hills like crazy. I bought my 2000 TB for 1600 and put about another 600 into it and it rips. Good deal, Go for it.
