I agree with what you said about Bobs service but it because he is slow and does the work himself and when he gets done it is right. When I have something to have done I stay with him till its done.On second thought his service is great like on New Years day I had my clutch off and he replaced the bushings and buttons in it while I helped. You cant beat service like that. And last nite he told me he would get my cylinder bored and honed I picked it up at 7 30 that nite. Now is that service?Plus when it comes time to deal he will deal. Just my .02 s worth. Brad

You are right, maybe I should have said that aa little differently. Bob is a great guy and has been riding for a long long time. His shop is a one man shop himself, this can be good as well as bad. He does stock a lot of parts too.
I have some relatives in Crossville, the Browns that live out near Phillipstown. Do you know them?

I seen an ad in the cycletrader today in Bartlesville, Ok., they had Predators for $5699. Bartlesville Cycle Sports was the name of the dealer.

I have heard that about Bob's also. He is a great guy but a little slow in the service area. I have heard bad thing about Super Bike Shop also. I have never been in the new location yet.

I don't know what I am going to do yet.

Here are the people I talked to and this is what they said out the door.

West Side Honda
'02 400ex = $5200 + tax (The salesmen said they might go down in a month if they still have a bunch)
'03 KFX 400 = $5600 + tax

Southern Indiana Honda Polaris
03' 400ex = $5200 + tax
'03 Predator = $6299 + tax

Bob's in Crossville
'03 Predator = $6000 + no tax ( if I don't get it titled I will have to pay 12%APR or if I get it title 6.5%)

Big 4 Cycle
Z400 = didn't really ask for a OTD price yet.

River City over in Owensboro
Z400 = Haven't called yet I was told they were $200 cheaper than Big 4 last year

Lemonds
Raptor = haven't talked to yet
KFX 400 = haven't talked to yet

Tri-State
Raptor = I don't know if I am going to talk to them or not?

So I don't know what the heck to do
But I know I have to sell my Wolv. 1st.

mudcat,
Me and the wife get our Christmas Tree in Phillipstown every year. Well at least for the last 4 years anyway.

Yes that is my aunt and uncle, what a small world.

I got my last 3 quads at Lemonds and have been very pleased with them. The do great warranty work even though it is a little trip over there. I ususlly do all my work myself after the warranty runs out. I don't blame you about Tri State, those guys are hard to get along with. Heck I even ride with a few of them. They said I would have to wait 2 weeks until they could look at my Kodiaks headlight. I said no problem I bring it in after hunting season in a week or so. They said it would be 2 weeks after I brought it in until They could look at it. Maybe I should take it back to Lemonds. I did and bought a new Blaster while we were there. A week or so later I stoped by Tri State and got some 2 stroke oil for the Blaster. They were a little upset I didn't even price it from them. I told them I couldn't buy from them since they didn't like to work on them, and I did what they told me to do check Lemonds.
Myself I like Big 4 Noah Brown is a good guy that will tell you straight and not feed you a line of crap. John Swongler is a salesman for River city, he could help you get a test ride on a Predator if you give him a call, he lives in Grandview I believe. They sell all models that you have listed Predator, 400EX and Z400. When I got my KFX it was the same price as a Raptor from Lemonds and the 400EX was $600 less I believe. They were discounting the Raptor and EX since they weren't selling as good as the newer KFX.
Either way you go you should be able to get a good deal on which ever model you want. You allways get a little better deal while paying cash.

mudcat47537,

Yes, I agree with that.

If I had it to do over again I would have went with Lemonds and I drove over there one rainy sunday (summer 2001) just to find the place. Easy to find.

Thanks for that info

You hit the nail on the head with Tri-State. They like to sell them but they sure don't want to service them.

I bought my wolv from Lemonds and then I did all the bickering for my dad when he bought a '01 Rubicon and a '01 450es.

I think I talked to Noah just the other day when I stopped by there. He seemed like a pretty straight up guy. Is he from around Bloomington or something I think he said? I work right in between Big 4 and Tri-State on Morgan Ave. I don't even think I will go to Tri-State but I probably will talk to Big 4 again. I was planning on talking to the guy over at Owensboro too. The guy that does alot of the work to my Wolv told be to give them a call or go by there.
