How do you launch when racing??

Default How do you launch when racing??

When you guys are racing on the dunes or at the track or whereever..do you start in first or second??

Default How do you launch when racing??

I just find first is just too short..plus you gotta get your foot under and up to hit second..the bike pulls so good in second anyways..i cant see why not just start in second..unless its VERY bad for the bike!

Default How do you launch when racing??

Start in the highest gear it will pull without bogging, keep the rpm's up and feather the clutch so you don't wheelie over or blow the tires off..... Give the clutch time to cool after a couple practice launches so as not to overheat it, excessive heat will also weaken the springs causing slippage.
