Does any one know if the connector where all the wires go to that comes with the winch comes with it's on mounting plate so you can put it near the battery. Insted of drilling holes in the frame.

If your talking about the solenoid, yes I had to drill holes. I had a Warn 2000 and replaced it with a new 2.5 that I bought off of Ebay for $175. It was worth the money.

 

I made a bracket for the winch solenoid out of 1/16 inch plate and mounted it right next to the battery just over the starter solenoid. There was a hole already in the top of the frame, I just ran a 1/4x20 tap through it and used a 1/4x20 bolt and used the other 1/4x20 bolt already in the frame for the battery mount.
