Default Trail Boss questions

woops. Myb question is. After i have been riding for a long time 1+ hours my trail boss will somtimes backfire in reverse. Also can I just put a ball on my hitch, or do I need to attach something to the hitch hole; and then place the ball on the extension thing.

no. I plow with it and back up a lot with out the override with no problems. When I go Trail riding and need to back op a few feet I dont use it and it backfires somtimes. When should i use it? I thought it was for backing up faster or with more power.

It will backfire if you dont use it. The reverse button cuts the spark to the plug so if you go in reverse without the button too much fuel is going into the cylinder and then when it gets spark it causes a much bigger explosion in the chaimber. That is where the back fire comes from. You need to use the button any time you go in reverse. This is just a safety feature but is ment to be used all the time in reverse. As for the hitch you can put a ball right on it. I have one on mine and it works great!
