off the wall question (digital camcorders)
#1
I know that some of you have digital camcorders. When I get my taxes back, I'd like to get one but have never owned or operated one. Looking for some good input on what's a good all around cam I.E. indoor outdoor use and ease of operation

I picked up a JVC 522 (I think). It is a mid grade camera, but it had enough options that I haven't used half of them. It cost me about $550.00. I also bought the firewire and the fire wire card for the PC.I got it at a local electronics shop. Theyare about that price on the internet. I love it, it has the memory card so you can take dig. pics and put in a new card when its full. The quality of the pictures is a little less than my sony digital camera, but still great. I have had good luck with JVC, so I stuck with it. I would recommed it. Its a blast, get Adobe Premier and you are rolling.

Brother has a Sony with NightShot. Amazing pics in low light situations, and good all around. The only thing I wish it had was a seperate memory stick for the still pictures, instead of taking a 'still' on the tape. The newer ones may have that, though.
