Scrambler 500 starter problem

What is the trick about getting the starter out of a 99 500 scrambler 4x4? Is it just the two bolts? I got them out and still cannot remove the starter. Is there a trick to this?

Scrambler 500 starter problem

Take the recoil cover off maybe it is jammed in the gear or something don't woory about the cover it comes right off no prob
