Hello,

I recently purchased a Polaris Magnum 325 4X4. I've been running it for about a month now, and I just wanted to know if there are any people out there who have also purchased it and have any comments on it. I love the 4X4, as I run with a bunch of Yamahas with limited slips, and I get way better traction than they do. The top speed is a little low (I believe around 40 mph), but I knew that it wasn't a speed burner when I bought it. Also, has anybody looked into changing the stock paper air filter? I'd like to upgrade to a better filter, but I ride in wet & muddy conditions quite a bit, so I don't know if foam or K&N would be the way to go.....

Zooropa....Purchased a 325 Magnum 4 X 4 about a month ago. Its been sitting in the garage ever since. Taking it up north on May 5th. I have run it up and down my street a few times. It is leaking oil and does not seem to idle very good. After Easter I'm going to take it in for service. One of my brothers has the same machine, his runs just fine. Hopefully my oil leak is nothing serious and I will have many years of problem free ownership. Have looked into a k & n filter but its hard to get answers. Everybody you talk to gives a differnt answer. A friend bought a Sportman Remington Edition 500 when I bought mine, cant wait to see if his extra $1,750 was worth it, I dought it very much.

I have had my 325 4X2 for about a year now and have about 60 hours on it. The vibration does go away after it breaks in. I had an oil leak form the top of the head where you adjust the valves. The dealer fixed that one. I have had other oil leaks where the oil lines go to and from the cooler. I took of the stock clamps and put on the stainless screw clamps. I would do that first thing so you don't have an oil line blow off. I ride mostley on flat land and do a lot of trailer pulling around the farm. I think the speed has increased just a little from when new. Mine does all I want but 4X4 would be nice for when I do things I shouldn't be doing. I added a big home made rack on the front to cary tools, a milk crate on the back corner to carry even more stuff and a whind shield. No complaints yet.

I had a mag-325 for a while. Sold it to a friend of mine and got the mag-500. Had a starter problem with the 325. Water got into the recoil housing and caused damade to the starter. Place hose clamp on the pull rope bottom of t-handle. Got idea from servive manager at dealer. Depending on your riding conditions brake pades can wear out quick. They can be replaced with home made brass pads if you know someone that has a machine shop. This works great. I ride alot in creeks and you can not beat this. Other then that the 325 is a good relible bike. I have also replaced the filter with K&N. Cost is double but but cheaper in the long run. My 500 is 5 months old and has 580 miles no problems. The 325 is 10 months old miles ?. Good machines I love them. When going thru water just keep a constant rpm. That builds up pressure inside belt housing and WILL keep water out. DO NOT hit any water hard.
Just keep them clean and lubed. It's worth the extra time. After I finish washing mine down I spray the entire bike inside and out with wd40.
Safe riding.

I bought a Trail Boss 325 for my son last year and a week later bought a 325 Magnum 2x4 for myself.
I like it BUT it sure is slow. We ride in the hills and Mountains here in New Mexico, washes,
mining trails, rocks. When we get to a real road
everyone has to wait for me. The elevation is 5,000 to 6,000 feet and it never seems to rev higher than put-put. I have been told that by putting in lighter clutch weights it will allow the engine to rev higher therefore more power, acceleration etc. I wish I had 4 wheel drive because some of these loose climbs are a real challenge for all the 2 wheel drives. I can't imagine not needing a bunch more power if this were a 4x4. A 325 4x4 must be a real slug. I think I am going to get a 500 Sportsman or an
Arctic Cat 500 Auto, change the clutch weights on this one and let my wife have it. Later
