Default I Knew I Smelled Gas

While greasing my 2002 SPORTSMAN 500 I found a gas leak under the gas tank coming from what looks like one of two barbed brass fittings that the fuel lines attach two.My question is it looks like the fittings screw in the bottom of the tank and could be removed,if I removed the fitting does anybody have any suggestions on what I could use to seal around the threads with, that wouldnt be affected by the gas.It would have to be something that would bound to plastic and brass.I thought about JB weld but I am not sure if it would hold. Teflon tape, wrap the threads of the fittings and re-install...use some real clamps on the hoses too.

i had the same thing on my '99 500.
easy fix.
re-tape it and don't go in to tight, you might strip-it!
tha,tha,that's all!

(be sure the ATV is COLD in the event you have a little gas spill in the process.)
