Thats why you fill the oil injection tank and you wont have to worry about it for about 6 months. The oil goes along way.

That's right Ward, the oil injection tanks hold about 2qt. And they even have a low oil warning light. Thay built them to even be women proof (I'll get it for that one) The pre-99 models had the rear brake assy built onto the transmission output shaft and they werent concentric drive, they chain got tighter as the rear got pushed down. They also didnt have as good of suspension. If you could find one for the right price, though, it would still make a good bike for the lady.Bubba

I bought my wife an 01 Scrambler 400 2X4 last year and she loves it. Just keep the oil tank full and don't worry about pre-mix. Mine will go through several tanks of gas on 1 quart of oil. Only real maintenance is keep the zerks greased every few rides. And get a chain tensioner if she'll be jumping. My wife keeps up easy on this bike and she even jumps it about 20 ft.

Chain tensioner helps eliminate breaking and derailment. You can get them for $55 from Ritter racing. http://www.rittercycle.com/

Bubba must have the house to himself..hehe. Plush ride, moderate performance, she'll love you for it....that part we don't want to know about, but let us know what you pick.

Happy Trails!!

Just thought i'd throw my two cents in, Got a 500 scrammy 4x4 in November and have been running it hardfor 3.5 months without a problem. It's quick and a blast to ride!
