Youm are right Ward660R. I wasn't trying to start a flame war either. We have 40 acres that we ride on. The only decent straightaway is a little under a quarter mile. This is where I was saying that the difference between my buddy's Raptor and my 400X is not as much as you would think. At the end of it he is definitely pulling away from me good. It is only by about 3-5 bike lengths. There is no question that he would rip me up in long runs. He would be a dot in the horizon. I wasn't trying to knock the Raptor. I just like my 4 wheel drive for the riding that I do.

Ward660r
The Scram 4x4 is a beast. She will like it. You will never need to 'get it unstuck' for her.

I wouldnt risk an older one.

I could stand to loose a few too...

We had a great time in Mason County.

Although,,,,,both bikes had minor breakdowns (1st breakdown since purchase, 1 year ago)

And they broke down on the same ride, at nearly the same time, leaving us temporarily stranded.

It took about 4 min 20 secs for Uncle Bing to solve the problem.

And believe it or not,,,,the Rap ended up towing the Scram home.

Now there's something you don't see everyday...

Hey what are your plans for the 4th of July. Are you and your wife (and Rex) interested in making a trip to Florence for an extended weekend?

I am trying to recruit as many as I can. I have Mike D (temp. quadless in Seattle, but will bring his *****'s) and his family, Big Honda, Myself and the Family.
Let me know what you think?

I'd recommend a 500 4x4. I've had my 2000 for over three years now and wouldn't have a problem recommending one. The nice thing is you can really make a difference in the performance by changing just a few things. I've been racing mine in Hare Scramble and GNCC events and the thing really performs well. If you call HPD, they'll make you custom set of struts and a rear shock that will blow your mind!!! Good Luck!!!
