Question about scrambler 400......
#1
I have a 95' scrambler 400 4x4 . Could any one tell me where the oil drain is. I found the trans. drain plug , but can not find the oil plug. Also my choke keeps on getting stuck open. I have to tear the quad apart to release the choke . Could i get some ideas guys.

Yes, it's a 2 stroke, add oil, don't change it. However there is oil for your counterbalancer. There is a small plug on the underside of your engine. I belive it holds 80cc of oil. Wedged bet. the tranny and the engine (have to remove airbox and carb to get to it) is the dipstick. shouldn't need too much maintenence really unless you go under water, then you will want to change it. Ask your dealer to be for sure.

Oops, didn't notice your choke question. Get it inside where it is warm and see if your choke sticks. It is possible for water to get inside these cables if you ride water, and it may be frozen. If it still sticks when you've warmed it up, take the choke out of the carb and make sure the spring isn't shot.
