Default same carb on 600 and 700?

Why is it the `04 600 and 700 have the same carb? Yeah, it will make the 600 hot, but won't it restrict the 700? More horses need more fuel or am I missing something that is hidden deep in the 700 system to complensate? It just don't seem right to me.

Not only are they the same, but it's alot smaller that the SP500. 34mm on 600 & 700, 40mm on the 500. It is rather surprising.

You have to remember that it only feeds one cylinder at a time. this would give it a 34mm carb for 300cc's in the 600 case.

Different jet needle and needle jet also. There is a difference between the 02 & 03 on these components for the 700. If I understood my source correctly, these carbs are tested and set up in California. I'm wondering if this is for the emissions thing? It seems I do carb work on all Polaris toys that I buy. Still love those Polari.
