Thanks guys for sharing some of my anger. It helps to know some people care about right & wrong. Just keep a look out for a black & silver SP600 , 2 holes drilled in the light pod for a toggle switch to operate a rear light & red light next to it to let me know when it was on. That would be the most standout thing. I know chances are slim to none of ever seeing it again, but you gotta try. One dealer in Tulsa said they were stealing them in Tulsa & taking them to Tenn., then stealing others in Tenn. & bringing them back to Ok., but who knows. Maybe they'll get stopped on the Interstate & checked out. I've been on this place for 25 years & the Polaris is the only thing that was ever stolen. I feel for those that have lost their quads or anything else to thieves. We all work hard for the things we get. The SP was new, i had it for about a month, & what a great ride it was. It'll be missed. Thanks again for your concern.
Regards,
Jerico1

Amen Farmer. I think the biggest theft deterrent is the fear that someone may get caught by the owner and not the police. As far as things go around here the theives leave most of the farmers alone cause our properties are so secluded and like you said we all have a means of diposing of bodies. Its never came to that and I hope it never does. Sorry for your loss Jerico, that would've killed me if it was my ride I have to agree with the other post about hounding your ins. co. though tell them it was not for recreation, try to convince them it was for doing chores or something like that around the place if you live on a farm they might just go for it. Lots of luck.

Ya that reminds me to keep watch of my Kodiak and Recon. If anyone tried to steal my toys there would hell to pay. I primarily keep my quads and my grandpa's or my dad's close friend. Both live on farms so its not too bad. But a while ago in January I think some guy stole my Uncle's worker's Honda 350... Right out of the yard!!! The guy was trying to get his Chevy Tahoe out the ditch so what does an idiot think? He rammed his tahoe with the 350 and pretty much wrecked the quad...bent frame, winch cable snapped. Then my great uncle saw the guy earlier in his shop trying to steal a truck! Later on the guy tried to take someones hitch off their truck. It was an hour chase through the backroads and finally the guy got away only to hop on a bus to the city! All the cops had to do was to wait at the bus station for him.

Another thing last year a guy had 2 2003 Polaris RMK 800 snowmobiles and a trailer stolen from him right off the street, thats like 20,000+ dollars. Some people just irritate me.

Bottom line guys. Insure your ATV's! Don't rely on the home owners policy to cover it. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Damn.. that hurts. I really hate hearing those stories. I hope you can recover some of your loss or at least find the jerks who did and and get even...!!... I had some scum bag break into my apartment once while I was sleeping. Caught the bastard in my bedroom and stuck a locked and loaded desert eagle in his mouth. After he crapped and pissed himself, I beat what crap was left out of him until until he was bleeding out of every orifice. I then stuffed the POS into the garbage dumpster out back.... I let him sit an hour or so and then called the cops from a payphone down the street so the could empty the garbage.

His stealing days were over I am sure... probably his walking days too - I broke a bat across his legs.

I pity the fool who even looks at my ride with intent to steal it.... he better pray there are witnesses!
