Just back from a day of woods blasting/ testing.

1st item, (no blasting just idling)

a) WB/Pure Polaris idling all stock discs w/quiet core 94 db @ 20" 45 degree angle.

b) Same setup w/o quiet core 102 db.

Don't have a tach on it yet, so the 50% readings will come later.

2nd item,

Trail Tech X-bars, billet clamp, speedo. Compared with GPS off by only 1 MPH throughout range, bars are much more comfy than stock bend....the rest, well that's coming later in ATV Sport.

3rd item,

Front rezzi's through 1/4 mile woops section. Total blast! If you haven't experienced a Pred with these on it, you haven't experienced the full potential of this machine. Should be available stock, the extra bucks on the sticker price would be sooooo worth it. I tried sooo many combinations on my modded Sport to get it to be like this. Plug and play with the rezzi's, it's that simple....and much easier than anything Microsoft ever promised. #$%% issues with the new printer and Windows XP...sorry.

4th item,

160 main jet, 3 Univents, and nothing but power. None of the popping some have experienced. Ran this thing hard all day. No hiccups, burps, or farts!

I would probably suggest the rezzi's first. The silencer really needs the addition of the K&N, and airbox mods to go with it. Send me some moldy cheese if I'm wrong (by the way I was born in Madison), but you'll be happy.

I think ModQuad is right. I used to ride dirt bikes, and with the exception of the 125cc class, money seemed to always be better spent getting better suspension and handling first, then after all is dialed in, trying to boost the HP. There are exceptions to the rule, of course, but in general, smoothness, handling, and controlable power will almost always beat max HP everywhere except maybe the dunes. An afternoon driving a 1985 or 86 CR500 on general off-road and woodsy trails taught me that.

Good review! Im loving my pred!

I put my 38t rear on the other day..nice difference! Seems like im always in the power band now!

Only complaint..i've broken that damn Gas tank vent hose 3 times now! Dont know why, but where it goes on that little nipple that screws in the gas cap..the hose has broken 3 times! Im hoping is cause its cold out..but who knows!

Just a thought. If you check Aeroquip, or Russel braided lines, I think either of them manufacture an aluminum nipple.....huh, huh, he said nipple. You could drill the stocker off, and install one of those. That's what I used on the race mod when it needed more air.

I took my pred to a good size moto track this weekend and put guys on 250R on cannondales in awe...mostly that I was keeping up with them and clearing the same jumps on my stock pred!!! Bust out a couple no-handed landings and they give you a nod of the visor in respect. That cannondale let me ride his mx modded machine. This is the first time I had seen one in person and the only sport quad I hadn't test ridden before I bought the Pred...Let me just say I think I would enjoy riding a utility more than this thing. He had Elka shocks on it, and I thought they sucked for MX, they had a good XC feel to them though. He flat landed a 50ft. table top, bottomed, and hashed his HMF muffler with the rear axle...I got a kick out of that. Long story short, I would like more power, but when I could keep up with the modded machines, my next addition will prob. be the front rezzis!! Go polaris!

Wes Miller, paging Mr. Wes Miller. Huevos 6, the Predator edition.

By the way, I realized on the way home that I had forgot to test the db of the silencer with all discs and quiet core w/o the end cap. I'll try to get that one next time out, along with some 50% throttle readings.

SCOTTS, I broke mine off twice also, not the nipple, but the hose itself looked like dry rot. I went to the local engine shop and got a small piece of vacuum tube, hasn't happened since.

I too would have to agree with MOD about getting the handling down first. If you can't control the bike, all the power in the world won't do you a pinch of s--t good if you can't keep it on 4 wheels (or two if you decide you want it on two! lol) With the type of riding I do, nurfs were a must. My buddies like to stick their wheels where they don't belong.

I like my nerfs for bouncing off of trees on a high speed run through the woods and pushing my buddies off the trails with them.

Sorry guys, keep up or move over.
