Hey try have you seen the new tie rod ends that come with plastic boots they are the new himem design and you can fill the rubber boot full of grease I did this and then used water clamps to seal the grease in so far they are working great. Do a search on tie rod ends in the polaris forum they are some guys in here that know where you can get a super dealer on the newer types which they have made them with a grease zerks they really looked good and were pretty cheap too.

Dealer sells them for 19.75 each. Looks allot better than the originals. They started using them on machine made after 8/99 I do believe. You will also need the bolts, nuts and washers. Go to:http://www.polarisindustries.com/pro...p?tips=manuals

Get this: My polaris sp500 is almost a year old (almost 6 months out of warranty) and my outer tie rod ends are getting sloppy. I told my polaris service rep about it, and polaris warranted a set of the newer heim style joints--labor and all. I'm going to fill them with grease and hope for the best.
