Where do you get 14t countersprocket
#1
Rick Ritter said that he could get me a 14t sprocket and then said he couldn't find anyone who made them. I think that Bubba uses one on his bikes. Does anyone know? Thanks, Shawn.

Shawn, Sprocket Specialist makes from a 10 through 15 tooth front sprocket for these bikes. I found them going through search.com They dont cost as much as the OEM and are good quality. Hope that helps,Bubba

Hey Bubba, on my modified 400 xplorer, what would happen if i went to a 14 tooth front sprocket. right now i have a 13 t front and a 30 t rear - i don't have any problems racing or woods trail riding with the combo - it's not pulling the engine down. would i benefit with a 14t for flat track racing or would it only be good for the 3/8 mile track?
thanks

Hey bubba I called sprocket specialties and they said that the sprocket they have is for a 98 scrambler with a 486? chain and I'm pretty sure I have a 520 chain. I see you have a 01 scram and was wondering if this is the bike you put the bigger sprocket on. They said to look at the bolt pattern and they could tell me if it was the right one. Thanks Shawn.

Shawn, any of the 2 wheel drive models will take that sprocket. The chain is definitely a 520 Oring. I have bought (2) 14 tooth and (1) 15 tooth front from them. They were around $20 if I remember correctly. I have swapped them between my 99 sport and my wife's 01 scrammy. Bubba

Yeah for some reason she thought I wanted a rear sprocket. I told her there are no bolts on the c/s and she said "oh you want the front sprocket" and then all was solved. It was 24.99 and it will be here in 2 days, not bad. Thanks again.
