What clutch kit should I use on my 500 scrambler. I am putting a K&N filter on it. Looking at EPI or Hotseat. Any info appreciated.

HPD has a plain color coded primary clutch spring that they offer ( the HPD 6 )that should give a low RPM initial engagement, yet still give good belt grip.
I tried the polaris plain color coded primary clutch spring, the belt grip and acceleration is great, but the initial engagement RPM is kind of high for my riding.
I have a HPD clutch kit on order, Ill post my impressions and observations after it's installed.

You should check into AAEN PREFORMANCE roller clutch. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

Paws, could you give some of your likes and or dislike about the kit you got for your 400. In what ways did it make the tranny better? Its something I would like to do in the future.

Would appreciate any others who have had clutch mods to post thier results.

Thanks DRMAHON for the post. GJ

You're right Jay, even though the roller is more expensive, its a better performer than any of the other clutch kits you can buy.

I just put the clutch kit in my 500 from hot seat. It really comes off the line quicker and I can still lug it down slow on hills. I'm really happy with it.
