The first Xplorer 4x4 was made in 1995, it was a 400 though. In 1996 they made the first Xplorer 300, not sure if it was a 4x4 or when they were introduced thereafter.

 

I used to own a 95 xplorer 300 4x4.Not sure when the first years were.But in 95 there was a 300 xplorer.

 

My Polaris manual 1985-1997 says that the Xplorer first came out in 95. It doesn't say the engine size though, I found that at Partsland. There was a 3004x4 listed in this manual, but it doesn't asy it was an Xplorer. Who knows???
