Default Trailblazer cold start difficulty

I live in Georgia. We have a fairly mild climate here all year round. However when I try to start up the Blazer, it usually is very difficult. I have to choke it, give it gas and crank on it for about 30 seconds before it fires up. Is this normal or do I need to make some carb adjustments? BTW its stock with the exception of a KN filter and removal of the snorkel on the intake lid. It has always done this. Any suggestions are welcome.

I have an 02 Trailblazer and I've never had trouble starting it in the winter time - and we ride quite a bit in the winter months at 10 degree's and below. I do sometimes have to choke it to get it to start, but other than that no problems. Sorry can't help.

My 400 will do the same thing now and then in the cold. Not sure what the problem is. But i would have to say its the amount of air thats coming in with the k&n and your snorkel removed. Just a guess.
