Default instead of spacers, has any one reversed the front wheel

I was curious if anyone w/ a Scambler/Sport that was going to use spacers, ever just reversed the front wheel instead of using spacers? There is clearance between the valve stem & brake rotor. I wanted to get new wheels w/ an offset to eliminate the 1.5 spacers but I have to go to 2" since they dont used 1/2" increments so that would be the same dimensions as reversing the wheel from 4" x 2" to 2" x 4" offset. That should make the front end about 49" wide.
Thanks

Jim, I reversed mine when I first got it. The valve stems will rub, so all you have to do is face them downwards and drill new holes for the new valve stems. It really helped the stability, but it was too wide for harescramble riding in my opinion, but if you ride mainly in sand you would probably like it.
