New to Polaris

I am going to pick up my new ATV's tomorrow. I have bought a 2003 Trail Blazer 250 and 2003 Trailblazer 400. One for me and one for the wife. I live in Oshawa, Ontario and one thing is that I have had a horrible time getting insurance for them. The best I found is $1200 for both. I have a clean, no claims record and am 31 years old. Does anyone who lives in Ontario have a good stand alone insurance place thay can recommend? I cannot move my car to another company because I have an ultra low rate and no one can even come close to matching it. Other than that, I look forward to riding in the Ganny out by me......I'll ask mod questions later....

I'm not from Ontario but rather from Quebec but I can't believe they want that much. It dosen't add up. I checked your rates for both machines for the over 30 catagory. Full coverage, all risks with a $250 deductable. The 250 is $220 and the 400 is $272 for a grand total of $492. Why would it cost $708 more to insure in Ontario? Do some shopping, I think someone is trying to roll you.

Liability insurance is mandatory and that's about $40. License plates are also mandatory. Don't forget that in Quebec alone we have 17,045 km of trails to ride. It is a very elaborate and to my knoledge the biggest network of ATV trails in the world. Gotta keep people insured and licenced when there's so many involved. At the last count, there were 46,000 members who have annual trail passes.($100) There are 246,000 licenced ATV's in Quebec. Click on the link and browse around a little. You most likely will be impressed by the numbers. http://www.fqcq.qc.ca/dev_com.asp?nav_id=697&lang_id=E
