OK GUYS,

I'M NEW TO THE GAME, BUT HERE GOES. I'VE G0T A 99 300 XPLORER, AND A '00 TRAILBLAZER. THE FIRST BECAUSE I GOT A GOOD PRICE, THE SECOND WAS WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A GOOD BUY FOR THE RIDING MY WIFE DOES. NOW TO THE POINT. I'LL PICK BOTH AS THE ULTIMATE 'CAUSE THEY START WHEN ASKED TO, RUN WHEN ASKED TO, SEEM TO BE HOLDING UP WELL, PROVIDE HOURS OF FUN, AND I CAN AFFORD THEM. THE SPORTSMAN IS TO MUCH UTE FOR WHAT I WANT TO DO, THE BANSHEE IS TO MUCH SPORT FOR WHAT I WANT TO DO. ANYWAY SORRY IF MY RESPONSE IS NOT WHAT YOU WANTED TO HEAR, BUT I'LL VOTE FOR MY TWO. AND YES I KNOW THE XPLORER HAS THREE CHAINS, BUT I'LL JUST DEAL WITH IT. HAVE FUN

Well this only applies to me.Everyones choice will not be the exact same,we all ride a little differant,so we therefore will have our own individule likings.

I choose the 00 Xplorer because of its throttle response,AWD system that puts power to all 4 wheels,liquid cooling,and large capacity oil injection tank.And it still offers a comfortable ride to.The auto trans is a plus also.To each their own.===BILL

 

Well, it's a little unfair to come into a Polaris forum and ask that.. It is a very good conversation starter though.. but its gonna end up like everything else... somebody's gonna pop off and say that honda is better... then atving will state WITH FACTS that Polaris is better.. lol.. The ultimate quad... like I said, that's unfair... the guys that Ride 250R's wouldn't even think of Polaris when they voted.. the guys that ride Sportsman's wouldn't even think of the Banshee... Even though I've had some problems with my sportsman, It wasn't Polaris' fault or mine.. the dealership put the engine too close to the tranny and the belt kept coming off.. but, we shimmed it.. got it back.. hasn't messed up yet. Whoever said that the Honda 3004x4 was the ultimate... they're right! Pound for pound I would rather have a Honda 300 more than a DS 650 or a Sportsman.. I used to have a honda 125.. believe me, it had it's faults..(no suspension) but I rode it even when I got my second four wheeler.. Believe me, when honda makes a four wheeler, it's there to last, take the 300... how long has it been around? THE BEST SELLING ATV EVER! If you wonder why.. durability, dependability.. True, it might not be the best in mud, but it'll out last anything I've seen lately.. For suspension and Comfort.. Sportsman 500, for racing, 250R, For trail riding, 400EX, for just messin around on the farm, any polaris will work.. It is extremely hard to name the ultimate atv.. hope I have you all confused now.. thanks
