Broken clips on Pred?
#1
Anyone break one of those clips that hold your plastic snug to your gas tank? I bumped mine the other day and it broke clean off. I have it sitting down in my basement now hoping the crazy glue will bond it back togther..anyother people break them? They dont seem to be very strong!
ON another note..damn i love how easy that front plastic comes off!

Haven't broken mine off, and I've had the front off a few times already....just changing out as many bolts/screws with titanium that I can....girlfriend says it's an obsession, she's probably right. hehe

G'day scotts88.
Sorry to hear you have the same problem I had.
Bad news is I dont think your glue will work as it is polyethelene plastic, which has like a oil in it to keep that shine it has.
Good news is that it can be plastic welded which is what I had done, and its still good.
Good luck mate, Geoff.

Im talking about the part that goes right on the plastic..that the two screws and plate bolt onto. Well the two peices of plastic that are SUPPOSED to be attached to the front nose are whats broken off. The gas tank looks fine.

A buddy of mine has been doing autobody for 18 or so years, I'll have to give him a call. Maybe there's some stuctural epoxy.....Hey Boeing Engineer Heapster might also pipe in. Mine are fine, but just being careful. Pretty cool how the nose comes off in about a minute.
