Default 500ho winch

I'm thinking about putting the Warn multi mount on the wifes ride. I havent yet made up my mind about which winch to buy. Since I'm already spending more money on the multi, I want to get the best price on a winch. I have found the new Superwinch 3000 and the Ramsey 2500 for $300. The Warn 2500 is overpriced if you ask me. I am reasonably certain that the Superwinch or the Ramsey will mount onto the Warn carrier, maybe with some new mounting holes. Anybody tried this? I'm also considering a Superwinch X-1. I'm a little leery of the high current draw, but I saw one in action before and the line speed is absolutely amazing! I have checked out the Polaris and the Montana Jacks multi-mount suystems, too much money.

The Warn 2500 isn't over priced, it is just the best there is. I've seen all the winches in action and ANY Warn is better than the others, but the 2500 out pulls all.

Yes MuDmAnIa is isn't kidding when he says you will be pulling everyone out of the mud. I would be his great brother that gets stuck in the mud that he has to pull out

upnort, boy did you hit that one on the head! I got a good laugh out of that one. Funny how sometimes you can't see the obvious until someone points it out to you. I guess I'd better start dressing up the ol' lady's machine now. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I'm still up in the air over which winch... I'm not madly in love with my Warn, I've always heard they were overrated. I think they're just the big well known name in the atv market, thats why theyre so popular. The other brands should have got in on the package deals on new atvs like Warn did. I had a Superwinch before and it was kind of cheesy, but I thought the new 3000 looked decent. I'm really a big fan of Ramsey, almost every tow truck I've ever seen carries them. I drive heavy wrecker for a living, I've been winching tractor trailers out of ditches and snowbanks all winter long. They make great heavy duty industrial strength winches, of course that's all hydraulic stuff, so its comparing apples to oranges. I suppose whatever I buy will work well enough. Now I just need to talk her into letting me put the 2000# Warn on hers and the new bigger one on mine!
